America Uncovered introduces students to major events and themes in U.S. History through storytelling, discussion, historical sources, maps, images, and interactive activities. Students will explore Native American societies, European colonization, the American Revolution, the Constitution, westward expansion, immigration, the Civil War, Reconstruction, industrialization, and other important developments in American history. Rather than simply memorizing dates, students will learn to analyze causes and effects, understand different perspectives, and explain why historical events still matter today.
