MathCraft: Mathematical Thinking, Enrichment & Problem-Solving

MathCraft is designed for Primary and Junior High School students who want to strengthen their mathematics skills, keep up with school lessons, or take their mathematical thinking further. Each student begins with a pre-assessment to identify their current level, strengths, learning gaps, and learning needs. Lessons are then personalized to the student’s grade level and current school topics whenever possible. Every session follows a structured learning cycle: Tutor Discussion → Short Independent Work → Checking & Answer Discussion → Feedback. Students receive clear explanations and guided examples before applying their learning independently. Their work is then reviewed with the tutor to discuss answers, identify mistakes, explain reasoning, and provide feedback. The course develops more than computational skills. Students are encouraged to understand mathematical concepts, apply strategies to different problems, explain their thinking, and gradually become more confident and independent learners. A post-assessment is conducted at the end of each learning cycle to measure progress in the concepts and skills covered and help identify appropriate next learning goals.
