Rise & Lead — from leading myself to changing my world

The Darstop Leadership Course teaches young people that leadership isn't about a title. It's about how you act, communicate and help others. Students move through three levels: Leading Myself (Level 1, Beginner): discover their strengths, manage their feelings, build responsible habits and communicate with kindness. Leading Others (Level 2, Pre-Intermediate): explore leadership styles, emotional intelligence, public speaking, feedback, teamwork and planning. Leading Change (Level 3, Intermediate): develop a personal leadership philosophy and practise ethics, coaching, negotiation, inspirational speaking and leading change. Each level has 16 lessons in four units. Classes are 45-minute one-to-one or 60-minute small-group sessions of up to 6 students. About 70% of class time is students speaking, deciding and practising. Every lesson connects to the student's real life and ends with a short homework mission. Every unit ends with a practical task, such as a poster, a speech, a mock meeting or a TED-style talk.
